FAQ

Q. WHAT ARE HAND-TIED EXTENSIONS?

A. Hand-tied extensions get their name because of the hand-tied wefts that are used for this method. The wefts are literally made by hand, and are the thinnest wefts you’ll find. During installation, a track is made using your own hair and beads, that the wefts are sewn onto. They’re the most natural, undetectable and comfortable extensions, in our opinion!

A. Because these extensions are customized TO YOU, pricing will vary for everyone. Refer to our menu under the “Services” tab for more information on pricing!

Q. Maintenance?

A. Move Up appointments are needed every 8-10 weeks. Refer to our menu under the “Services” tab for more information on pricing!.

Q. Can i get curly extensions?

A. Yes! A few brands that we use have curly options. Tausana wears curly extensions herself! If you’re looking for curly, we recommend coming to your consultation with your natural texture so that we can find the best fit for you.

Q. I HAVE BEADED WEFTS IN NOW, CAN I USE THE SAME HAIR?

A. Unfortunately, no. The wefts used for the beaded weft method are made differently (“machine wefts”) and are thicker than hand-tied wefts, making it a less seamless approach. If you want to make the switch, we will order hand-tied hair for you.

Q. HOW MANY WEFTS COME IN A PACK?

A. Every brand is different in the packs that they offer. Typically, a “pack” is 6-8 wefts depending on length.

Q. HOW MANY ROWS WOULD I NEED?

A. The number of rows you’ll need depends on your desired look and the condition, length, and thickness of your current hair. For just volume and no added length, we recommend 1-2 rows. For volume + length, 2-3 we recommend 2-3. In rare cases, more than 3 rows may be necessary.

Q. WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WEFTS AND ROWS?

A. “Rows” are the number of tracks that are installed. “Wefts” are the individual pieces of hair that are sewn onto the rows. For example, Madison wears 2 rows with 10 wefts.

Q. DO I WASH THEM LIKE MY NORMAL HAIR? WHAT ABOUT SWIMMING?

A. Refer to our tips+tricks page for all information on brushing, washing, swimming, etc!
